Father’s Day is here! There are so many things that you could do with your dad on Sunday, June 18th, but I narrowed it down to only nine. With the help of many daughters who told me of their favorite memories with their fathers, this list will help you decide on what exactly to do with dad this Father’s Day to keep a smile on his face! No matter what you choose to do, I am sure that he will appreciate your company. Take a look at this fun list!
1.Have a Long, Needed Talk with Dad
All girls love talking to their fathers. Whether you have recently endured heartbreak or just need some advice about life, your dad is definitely the guy with the plan! Open up to him. Have a talk over some beverages.
Dads like to shop, too! Take your dad to his favorite store, even if that store may be Home Depot. Walk around and see if he wants anything. He may say “no,” but you know he has been eyeing that new, drill kit!
3.Have Car Concerts
Isn’t singing fun? Well, with your main man you can experience car concerts. Turn up the radio and listen to some of his favorite jams while singing along. You know he is going to follow suit! Harmonizing is such a father/daughter thing.
4.Go to the Park/Gym with Dad
Dads love to workout! Maybe you should go to the park with your dad and get your run, walk or jog on! You guys could even try the local gym. Pump some iron while the ole’ man celebrates his amazing career as a father to you.
5.Take a Quick Road Trip
Traveling is always exciting! Why not take a quick, weekend getaway with dad or even a day trip? You all could go sightseeing and have another long talk or car concert if needed! What city is first on your list?
6.Watch Movies with Dad
If you don’t feel like filling up with gas, fill up with Netflix! Movie nights are fun! You know what types of movies dad is interested in. Sign in to your Netflix account (or your friend’s account—don’t worry, we all do it), and choose from a plethora of great films.
7.Help Dad Around the House
You know dad has been wanting to fix that kitchen light for a while. Why not handle that today? Get your dad and help him around the house! Fix the broken fixtures, clean, and maybe even work on the cars with dad!
If you and your dad are competitive, contests are the best! Try a cooking or baking contest. Make sure to cook your best meal! Show dad how much he has taught you.
9.Take Dad to His Favorite Restaurant
The cooking may not have worked out at home. That is okay! Gather up some funds and hit the streets with dad! Take him to his favorite place to eat, and enjoy some father/daughter time together.
Well, another Father’s Day has come. There are so many things to do with dad today, so make sure that the day is not wasted. Comment below with what you’ll be doing with dad!
